Bessie Mae Chapman Robertson Hamilton, 100, of Casa Grande died on May 8, 2024, in Gilbert.
Mrs. Hamilton was born on Aug. 27, 1923, in Stafford, Kansas, and was a daughter of Frank and Ella Mae Chapman. She lived in Chickasha, Oklahoma, for 15 years and Casa Grande for 67 years. She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, traveling, playing games such as canasta, Mexican train, and hand and foot, and volunteering time to Seeds of Hope, church and the hospital auxiliary.
She loved babies and children. Marge Jenkins and Nadine Hackler were close friends. She married Brant Robertson in Oklahoma on Nov. 21, 1946, and Bob Hamilton in Arizona on April 11, 1981.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Burger of Gilbert and Beverly Carlson of Queen Creek; a son, Gary Robertson of Apache Junction; four siblings, Jimmie Lee Jones of Georgia, Theresa Thompson of Oklahoma, Larry Chapman of Oklahoma and Curtis Chapman of Texas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Brant Robertson in 1965 and Robert "Bob" Hamilton; her sister Mildred Compton; and brothers Frank, Earl and Don Chapman.
Visitation beginning at 9 a.m. and service at 10 on Thursday, May 16, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
