ELOY - Betty B. Crandall, 89, of Eloy died at home on June 21, 2016.
Mrs. Crandall was born on May 16, 1927, in Colorado. She was an accomplished homemaker during her adult life and, after her children had grown, she babysat her grandchildren as well as some neighborhood kids. She loved the Lord with all her heart. Because she was shy, she didn’t take to the streets to witness; however, her witnessing came in the form of lessons and scriptures she taught to the young boys and girls who were in her care. And through the lifestyle she lived, she became a great influence on her own children as well.
After she came to Arizona, one of her favorite pastimes was arrowhead, rock and turquoise hunting. She found great joy in family get-togethers, puzzles and playing cards, including Skip-Bo, solitaire and slapjack. She had a collection of, and a love for, hummingbird items and flowers. She was passionate about living for and loving God. She enjoyed reading the Bible and Christian books and was a dedicated member of Apostolic Tabernacle in Casa Grande.
Survivors include three sons, Rick and Jeff Crandall of Eloy and Ron Crandall of Apache Junction; a daughter, Linda Thompson of Eloy; a brother, Jim Meile of Green Valley; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and five sisters.
Flower memorials may be delivered on Saturday to Apostolic Tabernacle.
The celebration of life will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Apostolic Tabernacle in Casa Grande, with Pastor Andy Combs officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
