Betty Jane North

GLENDALE - Betty Jane North, 78, of Glendale and formerly of Eloy, died on April 16, 2016, at home.

Mrs. North was born on March 26, 1938, in Weir, Mississippi, and moved to Pinal County during her childhood. She graduated from Santa Cruz Valley Union High School in 1955 and soon married her high school sweetheart, Fred North. She was a homemaker and lived in Eloy until 1973, when the family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1976 they moved to Glendale, Arizona, and later Livermore, California, and West Virginia before returning to Eloy in 1992.

Survivors include a daughter, Tracy North of Concord, California; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Robin Hardy; and a granddaughter.

No service is planned. The family requests fond memories and prayers.
