Betty Martin

Betty Jean Martin, 79, of Casa Grande died on July 11, 2012, at home.
The celebration of life will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Desert Sky Baptist Church, with Pastor Don Brackbill Jr. officiating. Graveside Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Resthaven Park East Cemetery, 4310 E. Southern Ave. in Phoenix.
Mrs. Martin was born on Jan. 9, 1933, in Phoenix and was a daughter of William Christian and Ila O'Neil. She was a homemaker and a member of Desert Sky Baptist and Laveen Baptist Church. She was a Lady Lion member in Laveen and enjoyed oil painting and Southwestern style. She also was an accomplished quilter and loved her family, cherishing every moment with them.
Survivors include her husband, Donald L.; a daughter, Daylene (Don) Brackbill of Casa Grande; a brother, Larry Christian of Phoenix; and a granddaughter, Christina (Patrick) Thatcher of Riverside, CA. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Perkins.
