Betty Todd Prock, 81, of Casa Grande died on July 7, 2019.
Mrs. Prock was born on March 7, 1938 in Goodyear, Arizona (now called Ocotillo). She was the eleventh child of Clara and Elmer Todd. She attended first grade through tenth grade in Chandler and eleventh and twelfth grade in Kingman.
After graduating from Kingman High School she attended Grand Canyon College where she had some of the best times. She graduated from Grand Canyon College in 1960 and did graduate work at ASU. Mrs. Prock was a Grand Canyon College Cheerleader for two years and was listed in Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. She taught Physical Education and English at Santa Cruz Valley Union High School from 1960-1966. She also taught in various schools in the Roosevelt School District in Phoenix for 28 years. After retiring in 1996, she continued doing substitute teaching. Her career in education spanned 50 years. She taught classes in every grade level from Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Mrs. Prock enjoyed reading, substitute teaching, crossword puzzles, aerobics and gardening.
Mrs. Prock was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Wilbert Prock; six brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Prock of Los Angeles, California; her daughter, Jill Dustrud of Casa Grande; her grandsons, Christian Leon and Damon Dustrud of Casa Grande and great-granddaughter, Evelyn.
Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. with service to follow on
Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande. Graveside service will follow at Eloy Memorial Park in Eloy.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel are handling arrangements.
