CASA GRANDE - William "Bill" Sutera, 75, of Casa Grande died on April 13, 2017.
Mr. Sutera was born on Jan. 17, 1942, in New London, Connecticut, to Harry and Caroline Sutera. Having a kind heart and passion for life, he moved to Arizona more than 30 years ago and worked for some area companies before working in wastewater management, from which he retired. After that his love for animals was more than a hobby. He loved to walk dogs and take care of and foster animals.
He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 44 years and took great pride in his sobriety, helping many people. He loved the Yankees and bowling, in which he won several awards. He was devoted to his family and never missed a graduation or other event. His love for his wife was rare, and they were best friends.
In addition to his wife of 22 years, Vicki, survivors include a daughter, Andrea of Niantic, Connecticut; a brother and sister, Bob Sutera of Maryville, Tennessee, and Carol Beck of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren.
Memorial service at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with reception following at J. Warren Memory Gardens.
