BLACKWATER - Blodwin Lee Ruiz Curran, 71, of Blackwater died on May 7, 2014, at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
The graveside service will be at 7 a.m. Saturday in North Blackwater Cemetery, with Randall Ruiz officiating.
Mrs. Curran was born on July 9, 1942, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Clement Ruiz and Stella Matthews. She was a registered nurse and a member of Blackwater Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading, especially The National Enquirer, sewing, crocheting and word puzzles and was well known for her cooking. She was a loving, humble woman who enjoyed spending time and talking with her friends and family.
Survivors include two sons, Barry Curran of Riverside, Calif., and Jason Curran of Blackwater; a daughter, Kimberly Curran of Casa Grande; two brothers, Randy Ruiz of Maricopa Colony and Eric Matthews of Blackwater; three sisters, Lawanda McBroom and Yolanda Wilson of Blackwater and Rhonda Ruiz of Sacaton; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome, and a brother, Ardell Ruiz.
