Bobby Dean Allison, 33, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 3, 2010 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Allison will lie in state from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Gila River Governance Center in Sacaton. Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. at the District 4 Service Center in Santan, with the wake continuing after 10 at the Allison home in Stotonic. The funeral will be at 8 a.m. Tuesday at Santan Assembly of God, with Pastor Ralph Morris officiating. Burial will be in Stotonic Cemetery.
He was born on Aug. 18, 1976 in Sacaton. He was an emergency medical technician for 10 years for the Gila River Indian Community and San Carlos Apache Tribe. He worked in security for Gila River Casinos and was a bailiff in Tribal Court.
He also was an accomplished musician. He began playing at age 10, played in junior high and in concert and jazz bands at Coolidge High School. He went to band camp at Northern Arizona University. He played football, was on the wrestling team and in the Native American Club. He made the Dean’s List at Apollo College in Mesa.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta L. James Allison; a son, Jacob Manuel of Casa Grande; a daughter, Sunshine Manuel of Casa Grande; his parents, Gary and Brenda Allison of Santan; two brothers, Andrew and Gabriel Allison of Santan; and two sisters, Lynnelle “Kris” Howard of Sacaton and Golden D. Fulwilder of Santan. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stetson C. Allison.
