Bobby Joe Lewis

SACATON - Bobby Joe Lewis, 38, of Sacaton died peacefully on Sept. 28, 2016.

Mr. Lewis was born on Nov. 16, 1977, in Phoenix to Leroy and Gertrude Lewis. He was described as a Renaissance Man, very artistic and gifted. He drew, wrote poems and enjoyed various types of music. He liked the Arizona Cardinals and was described as a simple man with a gentle soul.

Survivors include eight sisters and brothers, Rodney, Donna, Loren, Josephine, Elvin and Veron Jackson, all of Sacaton, Reggy Lewis Sr. of Santan and Leroy Lewis Jr. of Chandler, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday at Sacaton First Presbyterian Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. Monday at St. Anne Catholic Mission in Santan. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.
