SACATON - Brenda Joyce Morado, 65, of Sacaton died on May 11, 2016, at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 3 Service Center. The graveside service will be at 6:30 a.m. Saturday in Sacaton East Cemetery, with Monsignor Ed Meulemans officiating.
Ms. Morado was born on Aug. 31, 1950, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Richenda Vavages. She worked at Gila River Health Care for 10 years before retiring. Spending time with her grandkids was her priority, and she enjoyed cooking. She was loving, caring and very funny and loved watching old western movies with John Wayne. She was a protector of her family.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Antone of Mesa; four sisters, Cecilia Vavages of Coolidge, Sharon Mills of Sacaton, Geneva Johns of Casa Grande and Lilly Rivera of Sacaton; a brother, Mark Rivera of Santan; and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Antoinette Pedro; a brother, Milton Johns; and two sisters, Claudine Mark and Madeline Garcia.
