CASA GRANDE - Brian Lee Athey, 61, of Casa Grande died on Aug. 3, 2019, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.

Mr. Athey was born on Oct. 23, 1957, in Rock Island, Illinois, to Charles and Jacqueline "Jackie" Higbee Athey. He served in the Army.

He loved NASCAR, the Chicago Bears and his cat, Mimi. He also enjoyed western movies and books.

Survivors include his mother, Jackie L. Custer of Casa Grande, and two sisters, Karen Hahn of Casa Grande and Marcy Mooney of Jacksonville, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father.

Private service.
