Calvin Thomas Morrison entered this life on March 18th, 1930, and was called home from Arizona City, AZ to rejoice on streets of gold on February 14th, 2022. He was 91 years old and surrounded by his loving family at home at the time of his departure.
Calvin was the long-time Pastor of The Church of God in Yuma, AZ. During his time in ministry there and various other places he assisted many in acquiring their Heavenly passports and making their own journeys home. While living in Yuma, he also started and ran a successful business for many years, The Avenue “C” Garage.
He is survived by his wife, Leola Morrison; daughters Rhoda Collins and Gail Mynatt (Husband Chris), and son, Barry Morrison (Wife Sandra), sister Ruby Emert and brother Fred Morrison. Calvin and Leola have two granddaughters; Christel Robinette and Carrie Collins and seven grandsons; Brian and Warren Bennett, Steven and Danny Mynatt, and Jesse, Garrett, and Luke Morrison. They have ten great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughters Brenda Morrison and Linda Bennett and brothers Clifford, Leonard, and JC Morrison.
Visitation is planned at 9 am on Saturday, February 19th followed by a memorial service at 10 am. The celebration of his life will be held at Living Waters Church at 211 E Date Avenue in Casa Grande, AZ. It will be officiated by grandson, Pastor Jesse Morrison.
Reception to follow at Central Lutheran Church, 12921 Sunland Gin Road in Arizona City, Az.
