CASA GRANDE - Cameron Jackson Hill, 83, of Casa Grande died on Feb. 25, 2018, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.
Cameron was born in Forest City, Iowa, to Ashley and Ethyl (Jackson) Hill on April 23, 1934. After serving in the Marine Corps, he graduated from the Chicago College of Chiropody and Pedic Surgery in 1960.
Cameron married his high school sweetheart, Ruth, and they eventually relocated to Marion, Iowa, where he became a fixture as the town's "leading podiatrist" and "man about town" for 46 years. He was active in both the American Legion Post 298 and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Cameron and Ruth retired to Arizona in 2006 and moved to Casa Grande in 2011.
Cameron is survived by his loving wife of 63 years;Ruth E. Hill, his daughters, Cathy Barnella and her husband Ronnie of Maricopa, Carolyn Boeding and her husband Dennis of Anamosa, Iowa, and Christine Hill and her husband Jason Denholm of Tucson; six granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joy Barritt and Suzanne Huntoon.
