Candice Monique Alvarado, age 34, passed away on August 27, 2023, in Casa Grande. She was born on April 7, 1989, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to her beloved parents Mark Earl Schurz and Vanessa Montoya.
Candice had a true passion for all things beauty-related, especially hair, makeup, and nails. She possessed incredible skills as a beautician and approached her craft with love and dedication. Her vibrant personality radiated happiness and joy wherever she went.
Spunky, outspoken, and adventurous - these were the defining characteristics of Candice's spirit. She found pure delight in carnival rides, music, and dancing. Her positive energy lit up every room she entered and left an everlasting impression on those fortunate enough to have known her.
Candice possessed the gift of conversation. She effortlessly engaged in lively discussions with family, friends, and even strangers passing by. Her ability to bring smiles to everyone's faces through her engaging conversations was truly remarkable.
She adored being a mother - it brought her immense joy and pride. Family outings were a source of excitement for Candice, who eagerly looked forward to creating lasting memories. Whether camping, staying in cabins or exploring California, she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Candice had a profound love for babies and children, which endeared her to all who knew her.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Miguel Angel Alvarado Sr., and her beautiful children Izaiah M. Ertas, Alayah F. Ertas, Miguel Alvarado Jr., and Alyanah A. Alvarado. In addition to her own children, she embraced the role of stepmother to Lila Polanco, Evelyn Alvarado, Cassandra Alvarado, Domingo Flores, and Anyssa Flores.
Candice will forever be cherished by her brothers Gabriel and Andrew Montoya along with her mother Vanessa Montoya. Carol Schurz held a special place in Candice's heart as her grandmother who played an active role in her life. She also leaves behind four precious grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.
While we mourn Candice's passing, let us also remember Christina Montoya-Garcia and Anaya Alvarado, her daughters, as well as her father and grandfather Richard Schurz, who have preceded her in death. May they find eternal peace in the arms of heaven.
