Carl H. Schwartz

COOLIDGE - Carl H. Schwartz, 80, of Coolidge died Oct. 19, 2008.


The graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road in Chandler, with Pastor Rick Jones Sr. officiating.

Mr. Schwartz was born Dec. 4, 1927 in Illinois and was a son of Charles and Beckie E.P. Schwartz. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a mechanic. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was known for his contributions to charity. He loved watching Western movies, especially John Wayne's. He was devoted to his family.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen M. Jones of Milpitas, Calif., and Mona L. Lopez of Logansport, Ind.; two sons, Phillip R. Mason of Coolidge and Bill B. Mason of Merom, Ind.; a sister, Dode L. Nowlin of Rockport, Ill.; 31 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie Wilson.
