COOLIDGE — Carl Wayne Lowry, 58, of Coolidge died on May 2, 2011.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel. The funeral will follow at 5, with Pastor Robert Brown officiating.
Mr. Lowry was born on Dec. 27, 1952, in Casa Grande. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and later was a city building inspector, having a certification in that field. He was known as a jack of all trades and also was a carpenter. He volunteered with the Coolidge Fire Department and had EMT training.
His children and grandchildren were the joys of his life. He loved hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities and also enjoyed playing his guitars. He was a perfectionist, very strong willed and opinionated.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Kathleen; two sons, Shawn Lowry of El Paso, Texas, and Gael Lowry of Coolidge; four daughters, Wendee Oxyer of Gallipolis, Ohio, Heather Lowry of Louisville, Ky., Sarah Chaney of Grand Junction, Colo., and Jessica Lowry-Cardoso of Fruita, Colo.; three brothers, Jack Lowry of Tracy, Calif., Donald Lowry of Florence and Michael Lowry of Tucson; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald E. and Geraldine Lowry.
