Carlos O'Dell

Carlos O’Dell, 64, of Casa Grande died peacefully at home on June 30, 2011.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The celebration of life will follow at 10, with Pastor Dionisio “Nicho” Guerrero Arias officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, in Phoenix.
Mr. O’Dell was born on Oct. 7, 1946, in Pleasanton, Texas, to Joe and Ricarda O’Dell. He served honorably in the Army before retiring in 1973. He was devoted to his family. He became a Christian in the 1980s and enjoyed reading his Bible and speaking to others about the word of God. He loved listening to Christian music, flowers, gardening and cooking. His hobby was collecting toy cars and trains, and he had a nice collection.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Francies; three daughters, Veronica O’Dell, Carolyn O’Dell-Torres and Margaret O’Dell, all of Casa Grande; two sisters, Janie Hernandez of Mathis, Texas, and Maria Mejia of Casa Grande; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Matias, Jose, Felipe and William O’Dell.
