CASA BLANCA — Carlos Kelvin Santos Sr., 48, died on July 24, 2012, at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix.
The wake will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at St. Peter's feast house. The funeral will be at 5 a.m. Saturday at Baptist Indian Chapel, with Pastor Marshall Yazzie officiating. Burial will be in Vah-Ki Cemetery.
Mr. Santos was born on Feb. 10, 1964, in Sacaton. He was a grounds keeper at Talking Stick Resort and was a big Cardinals fan who loved his family. He liked to dance, have cookouts, laugh, have fun and listen to different kinds of music.
Survivors include seven sons, Carlos Santos Jr., Francis, Clifford, Daleth and Steven Santos and David Antone Sr., all of Casa Blanca, and Stephen Luther of Sacaton; six daughters, Josinda and Miranda Santos and Daylene Whittaker, all of Casa Blanca, Kaylene Santos, Brianna Kovoka and Carly Santos, all of Salt River; two brothers, Warren Santos Sr. of Casa Blanca and Cedric Santos Jr. of Stotonic; seven sisters, Lilly Santos, Renita Lewis and Estelle Santos, all of Casa Blanca, Shiela Santos of Iowa, Denise Garay of Sacaton, Yolanda Quintero of Casa Blanca and Janice Breckenridge of Komatke; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cedric Santos Sr. and Theresa Tree Santos; a brother, Steven Santos Sr.; and three sisters, Alberta Breckenridge, Carol Martinez and Delilah Tree.
