Carmelita Virginia Peters

WHITEHORSE PASS VILLAGE - Carmelita Virginia Peters, 48, of Phoenix died on Aug. 15, 2017, at Maricopa Medical Center.
Ms. Peters was born on Aug. 13, 1969, in Sacaton to Joseph and Amelia (Ortiz) Peters. She was a server at Madison Camelview Elementary School in Phoenix and enjoyed being with her family and friends.
Survivors include six daughters and sons, Stephanie, Andrew, Anthony and Angel Chief, Claudia and Lucia Martinez, all of Phoenix, and three sisters, Laura Havier Carter of Casa Grande, Angelina Lewis of Casa Blanca and Phyllis Woodall of Casa Grande. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edward Peters.
Visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel near Casa Grande. Funeral Mass celebrated at 6 p.m. at St. Francis Catholic Mission in Whitehorse Pass. All-night wake following. Burial at sunrise Saturday, Sept. 2, in Whitehorse Pass Cemetery.
