Carol Claridge Holland

Carol Claridge Holland, 84, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 25, 2020, at home surrounded by family. Carol was born on March 2, 1936, in Safford, Arizona to the late Orson and Bessie (Haggard) Claridge. Throughout her life she was devoted to her family and their well-being whether in the role of spouse, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, or great-grandmother. She loved storytelling, quilting, needle crafts, playing cards, and traveling within nature. She truly enjoyed being of service to others. This was a big part of her life within her church, at the banks where she worked, and even recently with new friends during her stay at assisted living. She was tireless in encouraging her loved ones and friends to stay positive and to pursue the best from life. She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse John T. Holland; brothers Brooks and Kenneth Claridge; her sister Rita Lunt. She is survived by sisters Deva Claridge, Jan Richins and sister-in-law Patty Skinner; daughters Janet Picone (Pete), Sharon Achatz (Gregg) and Debra McElroy (Jack); sons Terry, Dean (Maria) and Darrel (Teresa) Huish; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Specifics concerning a memorial service are to be determined. A marker and plaque are installed at Mountain View Serenity Gardens. J.
