Coolidge

In Loving memory of Carol Fassnacht McCoy Humphrey, born in South Bend, Indiana to Walter Gerald and Bernita Fassnacht on May 26, 1941. She passed away on January 18, 2024, at her home in Coolidge. Throughout her journey, Carol radiated a profound love and appreciation for life itself.

Carol had a vibrant spirit and an array of artistic talents. She found solace and joy in the world of painting and beading, creating beautiful works of art that captivated all who beheld them. An avid lover of music, Carol mastered the ukulele and took great pleasure in sharing her knowledge with others. Her gentle guidance touched the hearts of many as she patiently taught them how to strum the strings of this cheerful instrument.

Carol was an active member of the Red Hat Society and Civitan, relishing in the companionship of fellow seniors who shared her zest for life. Her warm presence lit up any gathering she attended, enriching the lives of those around her and leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Her dedication to serving her community was admirable. Carol selflessly dedicated her time and energy to organizations such as Girl Scouts, the Wesley Foundation, and Tucson Parks & Rec. Through these endeavors, she made a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals, nurturing their growth and fostering a sense of belonging.

Carol leaves behind a legacy cherished by her daughters, Shawna B. Slade and Bobbie White Boye, as well as their husbands Barry Slade Jr. and Robert Boye respectively. Her granddaughters, McKayla B. Slade and Brooke O. Boye, brought immense joy to Carol's life and will forever carry forward her spirit, and her sister-in-law Stevie Fassnacht, her nieces and nephew, Heidi, Kody and Chris Fassnacht.

In addition to her immediate family, Carol is also remembered fondly by her ex-husband, Scott McCoy Jr. Though their paths diverged, their shared history remained an important part of Carol's life journey.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Fassnacht, and her husband Paul L. Humphrey.

Carol will forever remain in our hearts as the shining light that illuminated our lives. Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will live on through the love and joy she brought to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Farewell, dear Carol; you shall be dearly missed.
