Carol Jean Baptisto

SACATON - Carol Jean Baptisto, 66, of Sacaton died on March 17, 2015.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at First Pima Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 10, with Pastor Eric Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in East Sacaton Cemetery.

Mrs. Baptisto was born on Nov. 27, 1948, in Sacaton. She was a certified nursing assistant and also an artist, painting, carving wood and crafting gourds. She was a member of Gila River Artists Association. She also was a seamstress and loved to garden.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence F.; two daughters, Tasha Matthews of Sacaton and Andrea Matthews of Tucson; two sisters, Betty Perez and Corrine Setayouma of Sacaton; and two grandchildren.
