Cecilia "Cece" Mallow

SACATON FLATS - Cecilia Marie "Cece" Mallow, 68, of Sacaton Flats died on April 12, 2015, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 2 Hashen Kehk Multipurpose Center, with rosary recited at 6. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Mission by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in Sacaton Flats Cemetery.

Ms. Mallow was born on April 2, 1947, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Clemencia and Daniel Leos Sr., the eldest of 10 children. She was a homemaker and a sober alcoholic for 33 years. She became a Christian and devoted her life to God, being very active in church for many years and faithful to the Cursillo way of life.

She worked at Sacaton Supermarket until her health prevented it. She loved reading, and westerns, mysteries and true crime were her favorites. She enjoyed Scrabble, playing cards and bingo, and working on puzzles and electronic devices. She loved going to casinos. She was outgoing, caring and very loving, opened her home to many people and adopted kids as grandchildren. She touched many lives and often complimented people.

Survivors include three daughters, Melissa Mallow of Sacaton, Colleen Mallow of Laveen and Miriam Lara of Sacaton Flats; two sons, Matthew Leos of Sacaton Flats and Martin Lara of Florence; three sisters, Isabelle Manuel of Blackwater, Kathleen and Jacinta Lara of Sacaton Flats; three brothers, Gerald Leos Sr., Earl Lara and Ralph Grajiola, all of Sacaton Flats; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
