Charles D. Nowlin

Charles D. Nowlin, 90, of Casa Grande died Nov. 21, 2008 at home.


The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today in Mountain View Cemetery, with Ross Turner officiating.

Mr. Nowlin was born Feb. 4, 1918 in Russellville, Ark., and was a son of Nellie and Everett Nowlin. He married Lois on Dec. 24, 1938 in Dardanelle, Ark. He served in the Army during World War II and was an equipment operator before retiring from Pinal County in 1983. He enjoyed his family, including his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Casa Grande.

In addition to his wife of 69 years, survivors include a son, Dennis Nowlin of Casa Grande; a daughter, Linda Coxon of Sedona; a sister, Goldie Gulley of Coolidge; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Joe, Ray, Roy and Troy Nowlin; three sisters, Ora Lee, Ollie Davis and Virginia Arnold; and a grandson, Shea Coxon.
