VALLEY FARMS - Charles E. Ripley, 74, died April 10, 2008 in Valley Farms after a long illness, with his family by his side.
Mr. Ripley was born July 30, 1933 in Rawlins, Wyo., and was a son of George T. and Charlotte Ripley. He was an upholsterer and taught upholstery at Arizona State Prison. He was a longtime Valley Farms resident. He enjoyed tinkering on cars, yard work and spending time with his family. He was known as a good handyman.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Billie; six daughters, Bobbie Farnsworth of Phoenix, Diana Froning of Brookings, S.D., Sheryl and Cara Ripley of Valley Farms, Darla Ripley of Coolidge and Linda Ripley of Casa Grande; a son, Tom Ripley of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a sister, Helen Anthony of New Castle, Colo.; a brother, James Ripley of Phoenix; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild expected. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill, Tom, Robert and Butch Ripley.
No service is planned.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
