Charles Kelly

CASA GRANDE - Charles Kelly, 89, of Casa Grande died peacefully at home on May 20, 2019.

Mr. Kelly was born on July 12, 1929, in Falmouth, Kentucky, to Wade H. and Nancy E. Weaver Kelly. He proudly served 28 years in the Navy on diesel-electric submarines and various ships, including in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He loved to tell Navy stories to all.

He loved the Lord and attended Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Casa Grande. He was known for his generosity and quirky sense of humor and was a proud grandparent to his four grandchildren. In youth he loved watching, playing and coaching basketball. He loved playing cards and listening to old country music.

Survivors include three sons, Edward, Patrick and Daniel Kelly; nine siblings; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sayoko.
