Charles Loomis,

Charles "Chuck" Loomis Jr., 71, of Arizona City died April 26, 2008.


The graveside service was held May 2 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, in Phoenix, with Tom Smith officiating.

Mr. Loomis was born Feb. 23, 1937 in Pagosa Springs, Colo. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and retired from the National Guard after 20 years. He was a truck driver and worked for Maricopa County before retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Steven Loomis of Queen Creek and Anthony Loomis of Eloy; his mother, Marion Loomis of Farmington, N.M.; a sister, Ramona Smith of Pahrump, Nev.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Loomis Sr., and a sister, Angelina West.
