CASA GRANDE - Charles Robert "Charlie" Wright, 75, of Casa Grande died peacefully on Jan. 26, 2018, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Wright was born on May 8, 1942, to Elmer and Pauline Wright in Wichita, Kansas. He retired from Arizona Public Service Co. after 28 years in Casa Grande.
He was a member of Casa Grande Valley Elks Lodge and a life member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association.
Survivors include his best friend and former wife, Mary Lou Wright; two sons, Timothy and John Wright; three stepsons, Philip and Derek Granillo and Alex Basurto; a daughter, Paulette Iliff; four stepdaughters, Ricki Jo Chu, Paulina Bruns, Ragina Perryman and Mary Cox; a brother, Jesse Wright; and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Sally Wright.
Funeral at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with Pastor Roy Edwards officiating. Inurnment later in Mountain View Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Casa Grande Food Bank.
