Cheryl Marie Lawton

CASA GRANDE- Cheryl Marie Lawton, 69, of, Casa Grande, Arizona passed away peacefully in her home on August 9, 2016. She was born on October 2, 1946 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Clarence and Marie (Miller) Thompson.
Cheryl was a wonderful woman with a beautiful soul. She was the valedictorian of her high school. Cheryl was a mother to three boys and a foster mom to many children over the years. Her social work touched many lives. She was a woman of faith and very active in her church. Her passion for music drove her to not only play but teach the piano, accordion and organ. She was an easy person to talk to and loved to read. Her favorite book was the Holy Bible. Her love for her husband Donald of 52 years will be sorely missed. The world lost a beautiful soul on August 9, 2016.

Donald Lawton (Husband) Casa Grande, AZ; Kevin (Lisa) Lawton (Son) Queen Creek, AZ; Darin (Elizabeth) Lawton (Son) Chandler, AZ; Daryl (Jackie) Thompson (Brother) Delta, CO, 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by:
Corey Lawton (Favorite Son), Clarence Joseph Thompson (Father), Marie E. Thompson (Mother)

The family will receive friends at New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene, 1915 N. Casa Grande Avenue, Casa Grande, Arizona, at 8:00 am on Tuesday, August 16. Funeral Service will follow at 9:00 am at New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery. A reception will follow.
