Clara Eloise Chance, 89, entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in Mesa, Arizona. Eloise was born on Friday, December 14, 1928 to David and Bethany Butler Hadley. She was a graduate of Chandler High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Arizona State University. Eloise married Charles Chance on January 10, 1948 at Williams Air Force Base, Chandler, Arizona. She worked as teacher for Ak-Chin Indian Community and Maricopa Elementary. Charles and Eloise were co-founders of the Maricopa First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Pinal County Cowboy Church in Casa Grande. She enjoyed reading her Bible, shopping and current events. Eloise truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed but will remain in our hearts forever.
Eloise is greeted into her Eternal Life by her husband, Charles Chance;
her son, Rick Chance; her parents, David and Bethany Hadley; her sisters, Bernice Herman and Vera Johnson; and her brothers, Howard, Lawrence, Charles and George Hadley.
Eloise is survived by her daughters, Carol Kennedy of Casa Grande,
Susan Rubel of Casa Grande, and Cindy Sizemore of Santa Clarita, California; her son, Michael Chance of Casa Grande; her sister,
Katherine Hadley of ShowLow, Arizona; her brothers, John Hadley
of Hugo, Oklahoma and Frank Hadley of Golden Valley, Arizona; her 12 grandchildren; her 25 great-grandchildren; her two great greatgrandchildren with two additional on the way; several nieces and
nephews; and her many friends.
The family will be greeting friends on Friday, May 18th from 5:00 to
8:00 p.m. at The Gardens Chapel, located on 525 North Peart Road,
Casa Grande, Arizona. A celebration of Eloise’s life will be held on
Saturday, May 19th at 10:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God, located
at 501 East Kortsen Road, Casa Grande, Arizona. Interment will follow
the Celebration of Life in at 12:00 p.m. in the Valley of the Sun Cemetery, located at 10940 East Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona.
