NORTH KOMELIK VILLAGE - Clarence Edward Shirley Jr., 39, of Little Tucson and formerly of North Komelik, died on July 3, 2016, at Banner-University Medical Center in Tucson.
Mr. Shirley was born on Sept. 5, 1976, in Casa Grande. He was a truck driver and a devoted family man who loved and took care of his wife. He loved children and was always helping others in need.
Survivors include his wife, Gabrielle Antone Shirley; three daughters, Tracy Cook of Tucson, Stacy and Desiree Cook of Little Tucson; his parents, Francine M. Antone of North Komelik and Clarence E. Shirley Sr. of Window Rock; four sisters, Eloise Thomas of Sells, Kimberlyn Thomas of North Komelik, Cecelia Thomas of Tucson and Debra Marrietta of Sacaton; two brothers, Brandon Thomas of Tucson and Lyle Thomas of North Komelik; and a grandchild.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ignatius Catholic Mission by the Rev. Bill Minkel. A wake and all-day services will follow. Burial will be at sundown in North Komelik Cemetery.
