MESA - Clemencia Ruiz Chavez, 83, of Mesa died on May 11, 2020, at Banner Baywood Medical Center.

Ms. Chavez was born on Oct. 1, 1936, in Mexico to Jesus and Teresa (Orozco) Ruiz. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, cooking for her family and being a mother.

Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Rigas, Elizabeth Chavez and Ivonne Zuniga; a sister, Eva Ortiz; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
