RANDOLPH - Cleophus Glass, 77, died on Dec. 9, 2015, at Oasis Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Casa Grande.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Community Presbyterian Church in Coolidge. The funeral will follow at 11, with Bishop Nathaniel White officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Valley Memorial Park.
Mr. Glass was born on April 4, 1938, in Coolidge, the sixth of eight children of Otto and Ivory Glass, and attended Boree Corner School. He was a charming, good-natured family man who took pride in his family and helping anyone.
He served in the Army and later returned to Coolidge. He worked on farms and later at the Arizona Training Program at Coolidge, retiring after 25 years. He stayed active and was a deacon at Church of God in Christ in Randolph.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Faye; five sons, Cleophus Glass Jr. of Coolidge, Jonathan Glass of Casa Grande, Alfred Glass of Kansas, Leodis Glass of Randolph and Anthony Glass of Coolidge; four daughters, Regina Glass of Coolidge, LaTonya Glass and Renee Willis of Casa Grande and Lisa Headly of Phoenix; two grandchildren he raised, Roxanne Glass and April Bishop of Randolph; a sister, Nelsine Hartfield of Casa Grande; two brothers, Charles Glass of Casa Grande and Eugene Glass of Phoenix; 34 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
