MARICOPA — Consepcion Mendez Soliz, 75, of Maricopa died on March 22, 2012, at home.
Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 by the Rev. Felix Rodriguez. Mr. Soliz was born on Dec. 8, 1936, in Poteet, Texas, and was a son of Victor Soliz and Gregoria Mendez. He was a farmworker and a very hard worker. He loved his family, especially the young children, and enjoyed listening to music, playing his guitar, telling jokes, going to the casino and driving his PT Cruiser. Survivors include his wife, Petra; two sons, Albert Soliz of Tempe and David Soliz of Stanfield; five daughters, Anna Iglesias and Teresa Soliz of Maricopa, Patricia Castillo of Phoenix, Alice Soliz of Ventura, Calif., and Nina Soliz of Phoenix; five brothers; three sisters; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
