Courtney Liann Mattingly

August 23, 1976 — April 14, 2016

CASA GRANDE -- Courtney Liann Mattingly, 39, was born on Aug. 23, 1976, in Rochester, Minnesota, and died on April 14, 2016, at Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa. She graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 1995 and earned an Associate of Arts degree in business from Central Arizona College and a Bachelor of Science degree in human services management from University of Phoenix.

She completed the Life Coaching Program of Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe and enjoyed her position as a behavioral health specialist with Horizon Health and Wellness. Her favorite quote was: "The test of success is not what you do when you are on top. Success is how high you bounce when you hit the bottom," by George S. Patton.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy I.; three sons, Kirk W. and Kyle J. Lynch and Kyle Mattingly; a sister, Kimberly Hughes; and her parents, Larry and Nancy Hughes.

Memorial donations may be made to Pinal County Animal Care and Control at Eleven Mile Corner or to ESTARL, Eastern Star scholarships for students of religious professions.

The celebration of life for Courtney will be at 4 p.m. Monday at United Methodist Church of Casa Grande, with the Rev. Mary Lou Adame officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the church’s Fellowship Hall.
