Cristobal Garcia

CASA GRANDE - Cristobal Garcia, 61, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 7, 2015, at Banner Desert Medical Center.

Visitation will begin at 11 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 12:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 by the Rev. Ariel Lustan. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Garcia was born on Oct. 31, 1954, in Mexico and was a son of Lorenzo Garcia and Juana Martinez. He was a dairy farm worker and loved spending time with his family, taking his grandchildren hiking and listening to music.

He was a homebody who liked building bonfires for his grandchildren. He also was a hardworking, very responsible man who loved watching soccer games and was always laughing and joking.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Ninfa; two daughters, Mayra Parra and Mireya Garcia; a son, Jesus Garcia; five sisters, Adela, Silvia, Minerva and Nicolasa Garcia, all of Mexico, and Elvira Martinez of Chandler; two brothers, Abel Garcia of Coolidge and Andres Garcia of Mexico; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nayeli Parra.
