Cruz G. Gamez

June 22, 1937 — February 26, 2006

Born in Kennedy, Texas, the son of Geronimo and Dominga Gamez. He was a farm laborer and worked at several farms in the Casa Grande and Stanfield areas, including Red River Land Co., owned by the late John Wayne and Louis Johnson. He enjoyed going to casinos and bartending at Star Sam's Ballroom.
