Cynthia Ellison

Cynthia Diane Ellison, 64, of Casa Grande died on Aug. 16, 2015, at home.

The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 29 at Desert Sky Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ellison was born on July 8, 1951, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. She worked as an administrative assistant in education. She attended Desert Sky Baptist Church and Calvary Chapel in Casa Grande and participated in Sisters of Strength at Desert Sky Baptist. She enjoyed cake decorating, sewing and reading and also liked travel, especially taking long trips.

Survivors include her husband, Carl R.; two sons, Eric N. Ellison of Moscow, Idaho, and Matthew S. Ellison of Seattle; her mother, Kathleen Barney of California; two brothers, Gary and Tim Barney of California; four sisters, Karen Sheets and Dodie Barney of California, Sharon Barney of Idaho and Brenda Barney of Phoenix; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Warren Barney.
