Daisy Puffer

HICKIWAN VILLAGE - Daisy Puffer, 67, of Hickiwan died on June 7, 2016.

Ms. Puffer was born on June 8, 1948, in Ajo and was a daughter of Alonzo Puffer and Angelina Jim. She attended American Indian Bible College in Phoenix and Prescott College and was a teaching assistant and speech therapist at San Simon Elementary School. She later was a counselor for Tohono O’odham Behavioral Health Services and retired after 17 years of service.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Jose of Hickiwan; two brothers, Joseph Puffer of Ajo and James Puffer of Avondale; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Antone, and two brothers, William and Lawrence Puffer.

The wake and all-night service will begin at 6 p.m. today at the Deborah Jose home. Burial will be in Ajo.
