Dale E. Jewell, 72, entered into heaven on Jan. 28, 2014 in Casa Grande, AZ.
Dale was born in Sioux Falls, SD on Feb. 27, 1941 to Mike and Mary Jewell. Dale was a supervisor at McKennan Hospital where he met the love of his life, Dorothy L. Moen. They were married Feb. 17, 1961. Dale began his career as a glazier in July 1962. He relocated to Coolidge, AZ in August 1978 when they purchased Coolidge Glass & Mirror and later established Jewell Glass & Mirror, Inc. of Casa Grande.
Dale was the president of the Coolidge Chamber of Commerce of 1981 and a member of the Elks Club and Lions Club and an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Coolidge, AZ.
Dale’s family was his number one priority and dedicated his life to taking care of them. He enjoyed his Harley-Davidson, classic cars, working in his shop and spending time with his animals.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy, of 52 years; one son, David (Kim) of Chester, SD; two daughters, Deborah Jewell-Cannon (Charles) and Dawn Jewell, both of Casa Grande; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and extended family - Marjoria Busch of Chino Valley, AZ, two sisters, Darlene Eide and Dee Burgers both of Sioux Falls, SD.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George, Marv Sr., and Donald; and one sister, Irene. A grandson, Derek Sopha and one granddaughter, Jordan Jewell-Sanchez and extended family Eugene Busch of Chino Valley, AZ.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Humane Society of Casa Grande.
Celebration of life will be held at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud the Gardens Chapel, Casa Grande, AZ on Sat., Feb. 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with a luncheon immediately following at
J. Warren Memory Gardens.
