Dale Kelsay

CASA GRANDE - Dale Kelsay, 78, died on Dec. 13, 2018.

Mr. Kelsay was born on May 8, 1940, in Frostburg, Maryland, to Frank and Margaret Kelsay. He lived in Portland, Oregon, for 20-plus years before moving to Casa Grande 17 years ago. He served in the Army's 101st Airborne Division.

His passion was for music, and he played several instruments and was a lead singer. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his grandchildren. For the past 17 years, he drove a public school bus and enjoyed it immensely. He had many friends from Maryland to the Northwest.

Survivors include his wife, Sue; two sons and a daughter, Charles L. Knighten of Casa Grande, Brian D. Leek of Molalla, Oregon, and Laura M. Leek of Lacey, Washington; two siblings, Donald F. Kelsay of Portland and Cathi Shea of Boring, Oregon; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Carrina Brian.

Visitation beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel, with service at 10.
