MARICOPA - Dale Robert Dallon, 72, died after a brief illness on Sept. 19, 2019.
Mr. Dallon was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to Robert and Doris Dallon. When he was 9, he moved with his family to Bristol, Connecticut. He graduated from Bristol Eastern High School in 1964 and then went to Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana, where he met his future wife, Dolores Bunce. After they were married, they moved to Lawrence. He graduated from Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, Massachusetts, and University of Massachusetts at Lowell in electrical engineering.
They lived in Lawrence for six years and then in Methuen, Massachusetts, until he retired. He worked at Lucent Technologies Inc. in North Andover, Massachusetts, for 30 years. After retiring from Lucent, he went on to work at Loomis Armored Car for 10 more years and then retired again. He was an active member of Methuen/Salem Rotary Club and served on several boards, including that of Methuen Memorial Music Hall. He and Dolores retired to Maricopa in 2012. He enjoyed retirement by traveling, golfing and volunteering at Maricopa’s Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years; a daughter, Cara Lavigne; his mother; two sisters, Diane Skelly and Linda Dallon-Gordon; and three granddaughters. He was predeceased by his father and a brother, Steven Dallon.
