Daniel Cruz

Daniel Cruz, 65, of Ak Chin Village, Tohono O'Odham Nation, Arizona passed away June 1, 2019 at Archie Hendricks Senior Skilled Nursing Facility, Sells. He was born on May 4, 1954 in Ak Chin Village TO Nation, Arizona to Solana and Eliza (Lopez) Cruz.
Today we lost another legend from the waila world, Mr. Daniel Cruz, who was a long time saxophone player for the "PAPAGO SUNLINERS" and the "TOHONO O'ODHAM FIDDLERS". He was a quite man but once talked to, he was one hell of a funny guy.
Daniel is survived by his daughter Marian Cruz; 3 sisters, Barbara Juan, Doreen Antone, and Marian Jeanette Cruz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Solana and Eliza Lopez a sister, Madeline Cruz, and a brother Simon Cruz.
Friday, June 7, 2019 starting at 5pm an all night wake will be held at San Sarafin Catholic Church, Ak Chin Village, TO Nation, the Funeral Mass to be held at 5:00am. Burial to follow at Ak Chin Cemetery, Ak Chin Village, TO Nation Arizona.
