Daniel Judson “Danny” Fancher, 44, of Arizona City died on Aug. 22, 2010.
Mr. Fancher was born on June 27, 1966, in Cobleskill, N.Y. He moved with his family to Tucson in 1968, later relocated to Toltec and attended local schools. After graduating from Casa Grande Union High School in 1985, he joined the Army as a track vehicle mechanic. He lived four years in Germany, three of those in the Army. Upon returning home, he earned an associate degree in diesel and heavy equipment at Central Arizona College and began a career as a maintenance technician.
He was devoted to his family and was always there to lend a helping hand to them and friends. He was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing, golf, flying model airplanes and, most recently, gardening. He was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan.
Survivors include his wife, Janice; two stepdaughters, Devan L. Martin of Arizona City and Sydney Fancher of Germany; his parents, Gerald Fancher of Little River-Academy, Texas, and Lynda Fancher of Eloy; and a brother, Gary Fancher of Tucson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
