COOLIDGE — Daniel Darnell “Danny” Cherry, 43, of Coolidge died on May 3, 2011, in Florence.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Community Presbyterian Church in Coolidge. The funeral will follow at 10, with Pastor Richard Wright Jr. officiating.
Mr. Cherry was born on Sept. 9, 1967, in Florence. He was a member of FFA in high school and worked for the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office for several years. Most recently he worked at Bright International in Coolidge and was a supervisor.
He loved fishing and elk hunting and also enjoyed country music. He was very friendly and generous.
Survivors include three daughters, Samantha Mears Cherry of Coolidge, Hannah Cherry of Eloy and Zaraya Cherry of Tucson; three sons, Anthony Cherry, Anthony Darnell Cherry and Daniel Cherry, all of Coolidge; his mother, Helen Cherry of Coolidge; three brothers, Henry L. Cherry Jr., John E. Cherry and Dennis Rushing, all of Coolidge; four sisters, Wanda and Glenzi Cherry of Coolidge, Kinista Harris of Eloy and Evelyn Wright of Phoenix; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dahlia Salazar Cherry; his father, Henry L. Cherry Sr.; and grandmother, Hattie M. Wright.
