Danny Ray Kennedy

MARANA - Danny Ray Kennedy, 70, of Marana died on Nov. 13, 2016, at home.

Mr. Kennedy was born on Aug. 27, 1946, in De Kalb, Texas, to Cecil and Alma (Johnson) Kennedy. He met the love of his life, Evelyn, after she served him a cup of coffee. Their love story blossomed from there. A Vietnam War veteran, he served as a combat medic with the 101st Airborne Division from 1964 to 1968.

He was devoted to his family and loved them very much. He loved his electric trains and fishing. He was very proud of his country and loved to travel all over the United States, visiting almost every state in the Union.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Ralph Kennedy; a sister, Louise Kennedy; six daughters and sons, Julie Heathcock, Danny Kennedy Jr., Jodie Kennedy, Isaac Kennedy, Christopher Kennedy and Russell Kennedy; 10 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Joe B. Kennedy, and a grandson, Sebastian M. Kennedy.
