Dardanell Widler

ARIZONA CITY - Dardanell Widler, 87, of Arizona City died Sept. 8, 2007 at Olive Branch Assisted Living in Casa Grande.

A private memorial service was held today at 10 a.m., with Dewey Mosler officiating.

Mrs. Widler was born June 14, 1920 in Pipestone, Minn., and was a daughter of Harold Slemp and Ruth Hungerford. She was an active member of Jehovah's Witness, Toltec Palms. She was a long-standing member of Valley Humane Society and was Jehovah's Witness. She was known for her kindness and rescue of animals for 30 years while living in Arizona. Her hobby was dog grooming and solicitation of friends to adopt her numerous furry finds.

She is survived by her husband, Lowell D.; two daughters, Barbara Weston of Lafayette, La., and Iris LaBarge of Scottsdale; and a son, Clinton Hungerford of San Antonio, Texas.
