SANTAN - Darin Jose, 52, died on July 11, 2017, in Sacaton.
Mr. Jose was born on July 24, 1964, in Sacaton and was a son of Thomas Jose Sr. and Marcella Miller. He formerly was a landscaper and custodian for Gila River Casinos and a driver for Gila River Health Care. He loved being a driver and helping people get to appointments for the care they needed. He often talked of going back to work when his health became better.
He was devoted to his family and helped everyone who asked, even through his illness. He was very courageous and did not let cancer get him down, fighting until the end.
He is survived by four brothers, Thomas Jr. and Aaron of Upper Santan, Philbert of Sacaton Flats and Edward Jose of Blackwater, and three sisters, Katherine Miles and Lurleen Jose of Upper Santan and Karen Jose of Chandler Heights. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Edmund Jose and Augustine Miller; and two sisters, Monica Perkins and Kathleen Jose.
Wake from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, July 21, at St. Anne feast house. Funeral Mass celebrated at 7 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at St. Anne Catholic Mission. Burial in St. Anne Cemetery.
