David Arredondo

COOLIDGE — David P. Arredondo, 81, of Coolidge died on Nov. 1, 2011.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel, with rosary recited at 6:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church by the Rev. Virgilio Tabo. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park.
Mr. Arredondo was born on Jan. 15, 1930, in Gillett, Texas, and was a son of Matildo and Paubla Arredondo. He moved to Coolidge in 1950 and was a farm foreman for many years before retiring from Goree Farms. Farming was his passion and he also enjoyed gardening, landscaping, being outdoors and keeping active.
The park at Los Arboles community was dedicated in his honor due to his labor and contributions to the neighborhood. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Maria V.; six daughters, Yolanda Arredondo, Susana Mendoza, Irma and Isabel Murrieta, Nina Arredondo and Rachel Duran; four sons, Mario, David, Matt and George Arredondo; 26 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Paulino, Gilbert and Francisco Arredondo, and four sisters, Ophelia Gonzales, Victoriana Pompa, Adelfa Lucio and Genoveva Ortega.
