SANTAN - David B. Williams, 23, of Santan died on Feb. 6, 2017.
Mr. Williams was born on Feb. 6, 1994, to Ina Williams in Tucson. He was very involved with his school, community and family. He graduated with an associate degree from Grays Harbor College in Arberdeen, Washington, and was enrolled at Washington State University, majoring in sports medicine. He was an ambassador for Washington State and knew many people across the country and internationally. He was well-known within Native American communities nationwide.
He had a social personality, loved to volunteer and was a camp counselor. He was very caring and always helped his family and friends with anything they needed. He was known for his humor and loved dancing, basketball, listening to music and playing piano.
Survivors include the mother who raised him, Sharon Miguel; his biological mother, Ina Williams, four sisters, Elizabeth Miguel, Precious Amber Miguel, Sabrina McGuire and Justine Williams; and three nephews. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Francis Jose, Theresa Garcia and Jennifer K. Jose.
Visitation 3 to 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at the O'Odham Haki facility, 431 E. Pima St. in Sacaton. Rosary at 6 p.m. at the family home off Moffett Road, with a wake following. Funeral Mass celebrated at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at St. Anne Catholic Mission. Burial in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.
